Expectations in the project

In general our expectations towards the project implementation are that Vitosha NPD will benefit through: (i) Transfer of knowledge and exchange of best practices; (ii) Improved national, regional and local policies by capitalising good practices and (iii) Access to interregional experience and knowledge in the area of management of protected areas and particularly periurban areas. We believe that throughout the implementation of the PERIURBAN Project we will gain experience and skills in tourism management, development and application of effective tools for communication with different stakeholders and, what is very important from our point of view, development and putting into practice effective mechanisms for reducing the urban pressure on periurban areas. We also expect that the partnership within the project framework will provide a good base for further cooperation and joint activities above the scope of the current project.
