European Federation Natural & Rural, Metropolitan & Periurban spaces

FEDENATUR is an European association gathering regional and local entities, which hold direct authority in the management of natural and rural spaces located in periurban and metropolitan areas. FEDENATUR was created in 1997, with the aim of promoting exchanges of expertise among its members on a variety of topics linked with the fact of proximity to urban areas. Today FEDENATUR brings together 28 members from 5 EU member states.

Expectations in the project

FEDENATUR basically expects three things: the diffusion and acknowledgement of the role of periurban natural parks;  the promotion of policies related to periurban natural parks; and exchanges on technical / best practices with other partners.
